I made these for my daughters for Valentines morning and they were so easy that I had to share! I don’t know about your kids, but mine could live off of pancakes. What kid couldn’t, right?! Sometimes we have breakfast for dinner and it’s about the only meal that I don’t have to keep saying “Eat your food!” several times throughout the course of dinner.
I remember my mom making pancakes into incredible shapes when I was a kid – Mickey Mouse, snakes, dinosaurs. I don’t know how she did it! I took the easy route and used a cookie cutter for these and although I can’t take credit for my artistic abilities, my girls loved them!
So here you go!
1 1/2 cups flour
3 Tablespoons sugar
1 cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 teaspoons butter (melted)
Mix all ingredients in a bowl. Pour onto medium-low griddle. Use whatever shape cookie cutter you desire to celebrate a particular holiday or season. Top with fresh fruit, whipped cream, peanut butter, syrup or whatever you desire.
Enjoy!
