I’m thrilled about having this Bible option in our home! I love reading the Bible to my girls during our morning time together! This is a part of our homeschool routine, but it’s also something that is so important to our family and it’s my deepest heart’s desire that my girls grow to love Jesus and desire to spend time in His Word each day.
Sometimes it’s hard to know what to transition to after the Early Readers Bibles we had when our kids were babies and toddlers, and I think this is the perfect next step! I love that my older two can pick this one up and it’s more on their level than some other versions that still may be a bit hard to understand. The NIrV Illustrated Bible is the real deal! There isn’t any fluff and it’s not just a bunch of Bible stories put into a book. It covers Genesis through Revelation and there are over 750 illustrations to keep kids engaged and captivated!
I love that the NIrV is designed specifically for kids with an easy to read font and at times it changes some wording to make it more easy to understand. One thing to note about this version is that the chapters and verse numbers are removed to keep early readers from distraction. This can also be a topic of conversation because there weren’t chapters and verse numbers in the original texts of the Bible as is!
You all know that I love a great resource that points my family to truth and this is definitely one of them! Here is the link to purchase one for yourself:
