God doesn’t shine in private places.
God shines when we can be transparent about what He is doing in our lives. God shines when we are
Motherhood is one of those areas where so many of us try to seem like we have it all together. Like we can do it on our own and like we have all the right answers. What would motherhood be like if we admitted that we don’t have it all together? That we’re just as clueless as the next mama at times (or how about most of the time?). That we don’t really know why our baby is sleeping through the night so early on but Praise Jesus that she is! That we are struggling with postpartum anxiety and that it’s okay to feel that anxiousness because our bodies just underwent something incredible and physically exhausting and it will take time to recover. That our marriages feel strained in the midst of this season of so many young children needing us. That our friendships feel surfacey because we’re trying to pretend we’re not breaking down from this or that. That our struggle with infertility is the hardest thing we’ve ever experienced. That our mom guilt is so real because we’re not “doing more” than staying home with our kids. Or that our mom guilt is so real because we’re working to provide for our families.
If we didn’t always pretend that we’re the ones that have it all together and that that other Mama isn’t doing it “right”, I think that we would have so much more peace in this season of chaos, exhaustion and just trying to figure it out! Cause that’s what we’re all doing, just trying to figure it out!
